It started small. You and a close group of friends would help each other when you could; with food, with your hands, or with a joke and a shoulder to lean on. You grew closer. All of you learned how to better provide and distribute your aid. Soon, your group included friends-of-friends and entire families until you had an entire self-sufficient community, a Bloc. Together, you were stronger. Together, you could change the world.

Bloc is a GM-less table top role-playing game for 3 to 8 players. It was created for the Games Transformed game jam of 2024. Every game of Bloc begins by creating your world and your community. Your bloc can be anything from a union of pirates dissatisfied with your cut of the loot, to a commune of self-determining robots hiding from the tech companies who would eagerly dissect them to find the secret of artificial consciousness, to a clan of elvish refugees looking for a new home.

Players will create characters who are all connected through your community. Decide their motivations, their hopes, and their fears. Choose carefully. These traits will determine how they act throughout the game.

Each player will take turns framing scenes. The outcome will determine how your community grows and evolves.  Clashing desires will create fractures in your bloc.  Will you achieve their goals or will your bloc collapse?
